2017 GOA ELECTIONS.

Despite emerging as the second largest party behind Congress , the Bharatiya Janata Party claimed to form the next government under the leadership of former chief minister Manohar Parrikar.
Having the support of two independents, three members each of the Goa Forward Party (GFP) and the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and that of the lone NCP member, the BJP will form the government in Goa.
“Parrikar will resign as the Defence Minister before taking oath as Chief Minister of Goa,” Gadkari said. And then, he resigned from PM Narendra Modi’s council of ministers to go back to his home state.
The Congress has accused the BJP of “murdering the democracy”.
Manipur governor Najma Heptulla invites the BJP-led alliance to form government. Swearing in ceremony to take place today with Parrikar as chief minister.
So In my opinion, there will be tough competition between AAP and BJP because Goa is usually a home ground for BJP. AAP will give BJP a very tough competition in their home turf. They have already started building their vote bank in the state and if all goes well they might end up winning the state. (If AAP doesn’t doesn’t destroy itself in upcoming months like this surgical strikes matter)
