President Trump accuses Barack Obama for tapping his phones during Elections

By Lucario Igneel

US President Donald Trump has accused Barack Obama for wiretapping the in trump tower during president election. He also said that the court has denied the request for the use of wiretap.

However, trump has given no evidence regarding the accusation. He further tweeted that: “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires tapped” in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”. McCarthyism was term that was giving to witch hunt of early 1950’s. Trump “Is it legal for a sitting President to be “wiretapping” a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!”. He followed that by saying on his personal social media account that “I’d bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!”. The bases of these accusations are still not clear.

According to American law a President does not have the authority to order the electronic surveillance or wiretap without obtaining a warrant from a federal court. In order to obtain such a warrant one would need to establish probable cause that the subject being targeted by the surveillance was an agent of a foreign power. As to the response to this Barack Obama has denied all the charges.

President trump’s credibility will be questioned if he is unable to proof or show the evidence of such a colossal accusation.
